Here's what you'll learn: No experience required!
Explore the basics of creating floral watercolours with Stephanie Fehrenbach. Stephanie will share her step-by-step process of painting soft and delicate bouquets with a focus on colour blending, layering, and how to make simple abstract shapes look like beautiful blooms (rather than the dreaded flower-blob!) She'll also share her tips on developing effective compositions and mixing your own unique palette to create expressive and dynamic paintings with a fresh and modern feel. Don't be intimidated by watercolour any longer! Enjoy the process of creating in this fun and relaxing environment, perfect for a beginner looking to learn the fundamentals or for those wishing to loosen up and bring more spontaneity to their work.
Learn the basics of brush calligraphy from the ground up with Rebecca Courtice. Learn what brush calligraphy is, why it differs from traditional calligraphy and how anyone can master the techniques (even if you have horrendous handwriting!) Rebecca will walk you through the basics using brush tip markers as well as paint brushes and watercolour paints- which you will have already started using with Stephanie. Learn how to form a basic calligraphy alphabet and words- then use your new skills to create your own hand lettered quote on the watercolour floral background you created earlier in the day!
Full supply kits will be provided for you & they’ll be yours to keep after the workshop! On top of these supplies, you also get a full workbook for each portion of the workshop with tips and step-by-step guides!
