Once I receive your custom commission request, we’ll arrange a time for your free consultation. I require a 50% deposit upon agreement with the remainder due once your painting has been completed. I’ll send you an invoice for the deposit which can be paid by credit card, e-transfer, or with cash if you’re in the area. After your deposit has been paid I will add you to my calendar and start painting.

I always like to create a small study for larger pieces to make sure we're on the same page in terms of colours and composition before creating the final artwork. Once it's completed, I'll share photos of your lovely custom painting and complete any final refinements that you might request.

Paintings are typically completed within 6-8 weeks (including drying time). Please keep this time frame in mind when ordering a custom painting, as it’s important for the paint to fully cure prior to shipping.

The cost of shipping depends on the size and weight of your custom piece. While you’ll be responsible for all shipping charges, I always get a shipping quote before the commission agreement is made and include that information with the quote for your painting.

If you are local to the Waterloo area, please contact me and we can arrange for delivery or pick-up from my studio.

Many of my commissions are based on a previously created painting. That said, it's important to me that my collectors feel that they own a one-of-a-kind original artwork and that their special piece won't be hanging anywhere else. I always endeavour to work in the spirit, feel, or colours of a previous piece while keeping every work unique.

Any size you like! Canvases come in a wide range of sizes, or I can build a frame to match the size you require.

All of my work is sold unframed to give you the opportunity to choose a frame that fits your taste and style. However, I’m always happy to recommend different framing options for your piece. I work with some excellent local framers and can help you with those arrangements.

All of my oil paintings are completed on premium stretched gallery canvas which are approximately 1.75" deep. The sides are also painted so they look lovely hung as-is and do not require framing.

While I don’t hang artwork for my clients, I do work with great companies that offer Artstall professional installation services and would be happy to help you make those arrangements. If you are in the GTA please feel free to take a look at Artstall for more information

My goal is always to create a painting you'll love forever, so I'm happy to make refinements until the piece is what you want it to be. If, for some reason, you're still not happy with it you may use your 50% deposit as credit to another work.
